Help Haiti rebuild after Hurricane Matthew

Post Date:10/07/2016 7:04 AM

Haiti3Nature has again brought devastation to the Haitian people. Based on early reports, Hurricane Matthew has left hundreds dead, tens of thousands of homes damaged, and hundreds of thousands of people in need of assistance, with untold damage to crops, livestock, roads, bridges, buildings and other infrastructure.

Soon after the emergency response, the long-term work of rebuilding will begin. That is where the Inter-American Foundation (IAF) comes in. For decades, IAF has been working with Haitians who have come together at the grassroots level to improve their own communities through projects focused on food security, education, health, small business development, sustainable agricultural, and other priorities they identify. The IAF has a large network of current and former grantee partners around the country, including many in the areas hit hardest by Matthew. In the weeks and months to come, these organizations will be working on the front lines to re-build their communities.

Please consider making a donation to the IAF to help power this important work. Click here to make a donation. In the comments section of the form, designate your gift for Haiti. Thank you.
